Rathnew GAA will host its Annual Dog Show on the 25th August in Merrymeeting

Rathnew GAA would like to offer its full and unreserved sympathy to the family of the late Murty Doyle RIP. Murty was a Rathnew Gael through and through. Murty had taken part in many battles on the pitch but sadly lost hes recent battle with cancer. Even though Murty was not a well man he was supporting the Club right up to the end by being our biggest seller of lotto tickets. So it was fitting to see a large gathering for he’s funeral and Rathnew was proud to form a gaurd of honour. Murty wore the jersey with pride and won championships playing, managing and as chairman.Murty won an All Ireland Jun Football medal with Wicklow in 1969 along with Johnny McDonald and Mose Coffey. The Club’s thoughts and prayers are with Murty’s wife Phylis and son Joe at this sad time
